All shades sizes have no deduction. If you order a 30" wide size, you will get an exact 30" shade. When selecting the shade width, for an inside mount, the shade width should be 0.25-0.5 inch narrower than the window width, and the shade height should be greater than or equal to the window height. For an outside mount, add at least 4 inches to both the shade width and height. If the shade width is longer than 80" or the height is longer than 72", choose the Custom Size.
